Cosmopolitan’s Ultimate Women of The Year Awards
Tulisa took a break from her hectic X Factor filming schedule to attend this years awards, and looked glamorous and radiant in an on trend canary yellow sequin embellished dress. Tulisa had her hair in an elegant updo, complete with a side fringe framing her face, whilst she kept her makeup simple. Tulisa has recently returned to her more natural raven locks after spending a few months with bleach blonde hair, which was slated by critics.
Tulisa was accompanied to the awards by her PA, Gareth Vale, who sported a broken ankle! Get well soon Gareth!
X Factor judge Nicole also looked super glamorous at the awards as she let her long hair loose. The singer prefers to stick to her natural shade which really complements her skin. Nicole looked extremely lady like and her long hair added to her feminine and seductive appearance. Nicole has naturally long hair, but also has a little help from extensions, to increase the weight and volume of her natural hair.
Made In Chelsea star Millie Mackintosh looked stunning in a strapless black dress with her hair swept off her face to show off her stunning makeup. Millie kept her eyes simple, while all attention was on her lips which were painted in a deep plum lipstick. Millie’s hair looked gorgeous in an on trend centre parting, and the simplicity of her hairstyle complemented her dress.
Kelly Osborne coordinated her hair colour to her dress as she had her hair slicked to one side and flowing in loose curls.
Kelly is well known for her outrageous hair colours and styles, but for this event, she looked ladylike and demure whilst still sticking to her punky roots.
Fresh Meat actress Zawe Ashton appeared to be taking inspiration from Rihanna with her short pixie cut and flesh exposing dress. Her simple dress was slashed to the navel and thigh, while her makeup was plain and fairly natural for the red carpet. A pixie cut looks great on striking faces like Zawe’s and requires minimum maintenace. It’s a great look for those of us who don’t have much time to style, or have previously damaged our hair due to excessive colouring and styling.
Strictly Come Dancing Judge Alesha Dixon looked stunning as she showed off a new shorter hairstyle which she wore in bouncy curls. Alesha is another celebrity who prefers to stick to her natural colour as it suits her skintone perfectly and complements her natural beauty.
Girls Aloud star Kimberley Walsh, who is currently appearing on Strictly Come Dancing looked stunning in a peekabo lace dress. She wore her hair shorter than she has in the past, with lots of volume, created through backcombing. Kimberley’s hair is slightly dip dyed/ombre as it gets lighter towards the tips. This is a great way to keep upkeep of roots to a minimum as well as looking bang on trend.
