Ahh yes, Argan oil! The Moroccan miracle potion for hair and hair extensions alike, featured in so many shampoos, conditioners, hair masks, hair oils, and even body care products. This precious elixir is a true game changer when it comes to hair care, but why is it so popular, and how does it work? What are the benefits of using Argan oil and regularly implementing it in your beauty routine? In today’s blog, we’ll explore the wonders of the famous Argan oil – discovering some of the best products, how to use it on Remy hair extensions, and how to use it to maximise its potential.

Understanding the Benefits of Argan Oil for Hair

Argan oil is one of the best products you can try on your hair. By using it regularly, it can address common issues such as static, split ends, and hair breakage! Rich in antioxidants, vitamins, and fatty acids, this miracle oil has incredibly nourishing properties that can promote hydration, shine, and unmatched softness in your hair and hair extensions too.

Is Argan Oil Good for Your Hair?

Yes! Argan oil, with its rich blend of essential fatty acids, vitamin E, and antioxidants truly is a natural remedy for parched, brittle, and damaged hair. Not only it helps manage and smooth down the cuticle of dry and damaged tresses, it also promotes shine and fights frizz and static – boosting the overall look and feel of your hair.

How to Use Argan Oil for Maximum Hair Benefits

Argan essential oil on its own can be left in your tresses overnight for a pre-shampoo treatment, or used at the end of your blowout to smooth down the hair cuticles for a shiny, healthy-looking finish. Apply it on the mid-lenghts and ends of your hair to avoid greasiness on your scalp for a day out; or, apply it on your scalp and gently massage it in with your fingertips for a soothing effect on itchy and irritated skin.

Argan oil can also be implemented in your washing routine: nowadays, there are plenty of products infused with Argan oil in their recipe, starting with shampoo and conditioners to hair masks and leave-in conditioners. Here’s some of my favourites:

COCO & EVE Super Hydration Kit

This formula is packed with moisturising ingredients such as coconut oil, camellia oil, and obviously: Argan oil. Characterised by the signature fragrance “Coconut & Fig”, this shampoo and conditioner combo will leave your hair feel soft, manageable and healthy as never before.

Moroccanoil Hydrating Shampoo and Conditioner Duo

Specialised in Argan oil-infused products, Moroccanoil’s Hydrating range is designed to revitalise dry, dull hair and bring it back to its former glory. Rich in antioxidants and vitamins E and A, this formula is also fortified with red algae extracts for a soothing effect.

    Gisou Honey Infused Hair Wash

When it comes to luxury hair products, nothing quite does it like Gisou – to me, at least. Powered by the sustainably sourced Mirsalehi honey, this shampoo’s recipe has roots in one of the best remedies known to mankind: a mother’s secret hair recipe. It goes without saying, that this Argan oil-enriched formula leaves your tresses feeling soft, hydrated, luscious, and strengthened.

Choosing the Right Argan Oil Products for Your Hair Type:

What type of Argan oil is best for your hair type? Whilst Argan oil in its oil form is good for curly, coloured, and smooth hair alike – just be mindful with the dosage, or you’ll end up weighing your tresses down! – when it comes to products, you may want to look for something specific. For example, curly-haired beauties will want to choose a shampoo or deep conditioning formula that is yes infused with Argan oil, but also designed to work for their pattern.

Those with dyed hair, instead, will want to pick a colour protector or enhancer too.

Using Argan Oil with Hair Extensions:

Argan oil is perfectly safe to use on human hair extensions, whether they are permanent or clip ins. If you’re wearing professional hair extensions, make sure you keep the oil away from your roots and attachments as this can make them slip off prematurely, such as in the case of tape in hair extensions.

For clip in hair extensions, same rule: apply the oil on your mid-lenghts and ends. As these hair extensions are not usually worn every day, try and avoid oiling them every time you wear them – once every 3-5 wears is plenty! And of course, a quick oiling after washing them.

    Conclusion:

Argan oil is a precious ointment for hair and hair extensions alike, and by implementing it in your hair care routine you will be guaranteed stunning results. Capable of helping with moisture retention, improving the shine in your tresses, and taking care of dry and brittle hair, this little miracle in a bottle is the unmissable hair care product you won’t ever regret buying!
