Your Autumn Essentials Guide
If you’ve taken more than one look out the window this week, then you’ll know that autumn has well and truly arrived. But don’t despair, our guide to the new season will show you how to beat the weather in style, prep your skin for those cold mornings. So, put your feet up, grab a hot chocolate and settle in - you’re in for a good read…
1. Nourishing Deep Conditioner
In order to keep your hair looking and feeling healthy all year round, you need you are putting the right products in. So, it’s important to make sure as the seasons are changing you are also changing your hair products. Make sure you deep condition your hair once a week to keep your hair hydrated and protected.
2. Brightening Serum
As the weather cools down, it begins to have an effect on our hair and skin. For your skin, you should consider a brightening serum or moisturiser to help preserve your natural glow and will also keep your skin soft, radiant and well-nourished. Opt for one with Vitamin C to achieve an even out skin tone, leaving the skin feeling soft and bright.
3. Conditioning Hand Cream
It’s also important to keep your hands protected – a good hand cream will keep your hands soft and hydrated. Choose a hand cream with a good texture as some low-quality hand creams will leave your hands feeling even drier than before.
4. Revitalising Oil Treatment
The best way to restore moisture to your hair from cold weather damage is to use an oil-based hair treatment. For dry damaged hair, opt for an argan oil for instant results and to help replenish moisture and protect your hair.
5. Moisturising Lip Balm
It goes without saying that our lips are often affected by the changes in the weather. Try to avoid using matte lipsticks and lip products, instead, get yourself a moisturising lip balm that’ll protect and hydrated your lips.
6. The Coolest Coat
A great biker jacket never goes out of style, adding a punky vibe to pretty dresses and a contrasting texture to our favourite pair of jeans. It’s also the ideal transitional piece, providing warmth without making you overheat on the tube. A cropped style will look great with high-waisted skirts and skinny jeans.
7. The Shoe of the Season
Riding high at the top of our new season wish list are ankle boots. Not only practical for the cold weather but they also offer a nod to autumn’s hottest trend. Wear these and you can rest assured that you’re showing off your style credentials without becoming a fashion victim. Keep the rest of your outfit simple to ensure your footwear is the focal point.
