Our Favourite Soap Stars
With the recently passed Soap Awards, we were bombarded with images of our favourite soap stars looking worlds away from their onscreen personas, as they glammed up for the annual ceremony.
Many of our favourite stars showed off gorgeously groomed hairstyles which led us to take a look at some of our favourite hairstyles on our favourite screen stars.
Michelle Keegan
The stunning actress didn’t disappoint as she arrived at the Soap Awards with her current beau, ex-TOWIE star Mark Wright in a beautiful strapless dress which contrasted with her deep mahoghany tan, and complemented her stunning raven locks.
Michelle opted for an on-trend centre parting with plenty of volume. To achieve Michelle’s red carpet look, try our Darkest Brown extensions in #4. Our double wefted full head hair extensions are perfect for this style, as they are super thick and voluminous, yet have the same amount of clips as our regular full head set, meaning they allow plenty of room for backcombing and don’t weigh down the head at all. Finish off with a shine spray to give your hair a healthy, glossy look.
Gemma Merna
Stunning blonde Hollyoaks actress Gemma Merna tried a more futuristic look for the ceremony, choosing a tight high ponytail which highlighted her bone structure and showed off her carefully applied makeup.
This look couldn’t be easier to achieve thanks to clip-in ponytails extensions which we sell at Cliphair. Begin by spritzing your hair with a light mist of water to make it more manageable and to allow you to easily pull it in to a tight ponytail with no lumps or bumps. Using a fine toothed comb should help you to create a really smooth ponytails. Secure any flyaway hairs with a strong hold hairspray and take your clip-on ponytail. Every product sold at Cliphair is 100% human hair so you can straighten your ponytail to give it a really sleek look. Attach your ponytail extension over your own hair before taking a strand to wrap around the join as seen on Gemma.
Shona McGarty
Eastenders star Shona looks every inch the screen siren with her smouldering jet black locks swept to one side and Megan Fox – esque red lipstick. This look can easily be achieved with the help of double wefted extensions which will give a really thick, celebrity style. All of our extensions can be curled and styled as you would your own hair. Use heated rollers or a curling tong to achieve these gorgeous curls. Cliphair also stocks wavy hair extensions, should you want to clip and go!
Jennifer Metcalfe
The gorgeous Hollyoaks actress decided to update her look for the awards with an on-trend dip dye style, worn in loose waves.
The actress, who plays Mercedes in the soap, looked beautiful in a revealing white gown featuring oversized shoulder pads. Her hair looked thick and healthy as she swept it over one shoulder. Achieving the dip dye look is easy with extensions, especially if you don’t want to use hair-dye on your own hair. Cliphair extensions can be dyed to get this gorgeous ombre effect.
Rachel Bright
Eastenders actress Rachel Bright kept things simple and pretty in a pastel playsuit. Her hair looked natural and glossy, styled straight with a full fringe.
You can gets Rachel’s straight yet bouncy look by turning your straighteners under as you reach the ends of your hair. This gives the hair some movement and is a great update on the classic poker straight look. Rachel’s hair has a gorgeous auburn tone, which you can find in Cliphair’s Light Auburn #30 extensions. Rachel’s full fringe is also super easy to achieve with Cliphair’s clip-on fringes. These are great if you don’t want to make the commitment of snipping a fringe yourself, as they can be quickly clipped in and out. Kim Kardashian is regularly spotted with a fringe one day, and without the next – this is her secret!
